Drawings

I enjoy doing drawings because they can quickly realize and capture an idea, thought or image. Unlike a painting which needs planning and often takes a very long time to complete, a drawing can be finished in as little as one day. And if an idea doesn't work out, I can always start another one...

Paintings

My paintings are often complex and capture unusual juxtapositions of images. In many ways they speak for themselves and have no 'correct' interpretation. The images and ideas are culled from places that I have lived - mostly New York City, Marrakesh and Florence - and ideas about travel and space and the interrelatedness of things.
